Yes. Symbal works on your phone, tablet, or desktop. No special hardware required.

Yes. Symbal is a HIPAA business associate. A Business Associate Agreement is part of the terms you accept at signup. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in the U.S., and never used to train AI models. There is no such thing as a HIPAA certification; compliance is something we document and will show you on request.

Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest (AES-256). Role-based access so only your authorized users see your patients. U.S.-only hosting on AWS. Signed BAAs with every vendor that touches patient data: AWS, Deepgram, and OpenAI. Audio retention you control, with permanent deletion.

Symbal is mapped and tested on Boulevard, Aesthetic Record, and PatientNow. Other browser-based EMRs run in a generic mode where the extension reads the page and fills what it finds, with a copy-paste fallback. Aesthetic Record on the iPad app uses copy-paste from the Symbal app.

Setup is an account, the app, and the Chrome extension. No setup call and no IT involvement unless your practice locks down browser extensions. If anything comes up, we are at support@symbal.co.

One plan: $65 per provider per month, or $52 per month billed annually. Every feature is included. No setup fees. Multi-location groups can contact us for custom pricing.

All major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, processed securely via Stripe. Invoicing also available for larger practices and multi-location.

Yes. You can change from monthly to annual and add or remove seats at any time. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle.
